Walk with me and I will walk with you

In one of my quiet time God told me: 'Walk with me and I will walk with you' Sweet and Simple. He never said run, crawl or jump ... he simply said walk.

OUR WALK WITH GOD

God one foot forward (Grace)
He takes one step to SHOW us what to do and how to do it.
+
We the other foot forward (Faith)
We simply respond in Faith.

Together again and heading forward (Spiritual Growth)
The good works gets done (Ephesians 2:10) and we grow spiritually.

Responding in Faith may seem so difficult because we often get too caught up IN THE FLESH looking around us at the uncertainty, problems, lusts of the world, pride etc surrounding us (1 John 2:16). So often we fail to realize that God is just ONE step away. God is looking back, waiting for us to move forward in Faith towards him. And in fact, we don’t walk alone. He has already placed in us the HOLY SPIRIT (John 14:16-17) that equips and empowers us in that forward step we need to take.

Satan has placed distractions around us to look at

God has given us the Holy Spirit to enable us to look forward

(John 14:16-17)

POTS5 Done-ded!

Praise God for my sharing..... was quite nervous and felt speech was abit messy...well its was my 1st public church sharing last night .... must discount myself ! :P

Sometimes God is really funny.....revelation came only 30mins before my sharing ..... POTS5 sharing was in fact God's answer to my desire (around 6months ago) on how I could minister to his people. Pastor Edwin and the leaders made the way possible ... praise God! :)

Was my sharing useful? helpful? meaningful? did i embarrass myself? These thoughts keep bothering me last night. 6am this morning I asked again and God said:

Psalm 25:3 (New Living Translation)
3 No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced, but disgrace comes to those who try to deceive others.

Furthermore the encouragement i received from brothers and sisters after last night's sharing and this morning (Colossians 1:9) .... what more confirmation do I need ? And after all ... my assigned job from him was to speak and not to gather feedback ... its God's turn now .... :)

Lessons I've Learnt:
- God answers prayers! You may not see it now ...but if its in line with HIS WILL ...it WILL happen! Be expectant!
- Psalm 25:3
- Don't ever discount the importance of sharing your testimony. Just reference Revelation 12:11

What's next God? .................... I need more 'Divine' arrows to continue my training :P

POTS5 Preparation!

Prayer Of The Saints 5 (Renewal)

Tomorrow (30/11) is POTS5 and I'll be sharing! Woohoo! :)
FYI .... For the past weeks I've been trying to find out what to share ...all so messy.
Revelation only came to me last night when I took time to mediate on what God was instructing me all this while to do in Isaiah 50:3-5 ... instructions that came way before I accepted the invitation to share.

Isaiah 50:3-5 (New Living Translation)
3 I dress the skies in darkness,
covering them with clothes of mourning.”

The Lord’s Obedient Servant
4 The Sovereign Lord has given me his words of wisdom,
so that I know how to comfort the weary.
Morning by morning he wakens me
and opens my understanding to his will.
5 The Sovereign Lord has spoken to me,
and I have listened.
I have not rebelled or turned away.

Lessons I've learnt:
Nothing beats mediating on the word that God has given you. i.e
1) For me to claim upon the Wisdom he has already given me (v4)
2) For me to claim that each morning he will allow me to understanding his will (v4)
3) For me to obey God and don't chicken out sharing (v5)

All this while I've been doing 2) and 3) and but missed out the all so important 1). Only when I starting claiming in Faith upon the wisdom that he has already given me did the things he wanted me to share in POTS5 become all so clear.

When God gives you instructions .....READ and FOLLOW it CAREFULLY!

Rules for Successful Prayer

Rules for Successful Prayer
(Communication with God)

(1) Pray to the Father (not to Jesus) in Jesus's Name.
John 16:23 (King James Version)
And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
Evidence:
- ACTS 3 See how the apostles prayed using the name of Jesus.
- ACTS 4:18 (New International Version)
Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.

(2) Pray about THINGS that we desire.
Mark 11:24 (King James Version)
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Should we:
- Keep on praying until we get it? No (That's the flesh's way)
- Believe something we can't see? Yes (That's faith)
Method:
- Step 1: Believe WHEN you pray. Not BEFORE or AFTER you pray.
- Step 2: When do you Believe you receive it? Before you get it.
- Step 3: When do you Receive it? After you believe you've received it.
- Step 4: Shout: "Praise God I beleive that I'm healed!","Glory to God, I believe that I've received it."

(3) Do not hold on to any unforgiveness (small or big) towards anyone.
Evidence:
- Faith in prayer will not work if you have any un-forgiveness.
Mark 11:25 (King James Version)
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

(4) Depend on the Holy Spirit to help you in your prayer life.
Why?
Because the Holy Spirit is our helper. He helps us in prayer etc...
Evidence:
- John 14:16 (Amplified Bible)
And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever.
- Romans 8:26 (New International Version)
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
